MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player within music in the Latin mainstream. In the year 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. Vaina Loca, which was the Top Five smash hit in 2010 featured him along with Ozuna. The group released Dopamina the chart-topping second album, in the years following. Later in 2021, he performed on a duet TINI on her most streamed single Maldita Foto. A 2023 release of 2000 which featured the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo was born into a household of music both his parents have been musicians. According to him, music was a fundamental element of his existence. As a child, he was taught to play the piano, guitar and ukulele. While his initial career goal was to be a veterinarian for animals but his brother Julian convinced him to try studying singing with the Cuban. The lessons changed his entire life.
